ADMINISTRATION
Our Leadership Structure
The Eastern Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies (EIES) is guided by a robust and faith-centered governance framework designed to uphold transparency, excellence, and sustainability in all its operations.
Board of Trustees (BOT)
The BOT is the highest governing body of the institute. It is chaired by the Bishop of the Enugu Anglican Diocese and includes a mix of clergy and distinguished lay professionals. The BOT sets the strategic direction, approves major financial decisions, provides oversight, and ensures long-term sustainability.
Governing Council
Appointed by the Bishop and ratified by the BOT, the Governing Council is responsible for the day-to-day management of EIES. It oversees program planning, staff recruitment, budget approvals, and implementation of policies. The Council also supervises the Director and ensures alignment with the Institute’s mission.
Director
The Director acts as the chief operating officer of the Institute. This role involves leading the daily administration, managing program execution, coordinating with partners, enforcing ethical standards, and reporting regularly to the Governing Council.
Social Entrepreneurship
(3–4 days)
This intensive course explores how to build and lead mission-driven enterprises that tackle social challenges while remaining financially sustainable. Perfect for clergy, NGO workers, and changemakers.
Executive Leadership
(4 days – 6 weeks)
Designed for aspiring and seasoned leaders, this program enhances strategic thinking, team leadership, ethical decision-making, and visionary planning across sectors.
Custom In-House Trainings & Consultancies
We tailor training sessions and consulting services for churches, businesses, and institutions, addressing their unique operational, leadership, or entrepreneurial needs. Ideal for organizations looking to build internal capacity.
Core Administrative Departments
Training & Curriculum Development: Designs and implements training modules, ensuring content relevance and quality.
Administration & Human Resource: Handles staff welfare, recruitment, and internal policy management.
Finance & Compliance: Maintains financial integrity through budgeting, expenditure monitoring, and audit preparation.
Business Development Services: Supports entrepreneurs with funding access, business mentoring, and post-training assistance.
Mentorship and Monitoring & Evaluation: Tracks program performance and assigns mentors to guide participants in real-world application.
Advisors & Resource Persons EIES engages a pool of local and international experts who offer consultancy, mentorship, and specialized training. These individuals lend their knowledge and experience to enrich the learning environment and foster professional development.
Partnership and Advocacy Committee: Terms of Reference
The Partnership and Advocacy Committee of the Eastern Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies (EIES) is established to strengthen strategic alliances, foster collaborations, and champion policy initiatives that advance the mission and vision of EIES. The committee will play a critical role in engaging with key stakeholders, advocating for entrepreneurial education, and mobilizing resources to enhance the impact of the institute.
Objectives
The committee’s objectives include:
- Establishing and maintaining partnerships with governmental, non-governmental, academic, corporate, and faith-based organizations.
- Advocating for policies that support entrepreneurship, vocational education, and youth empowerment in alignment with EIES’s mission.
- Promoting the visibility of EIES within and beyond the Anglican Communion.
- Mobilizing funding, grants, and technical support from partners and donors.
- Facilitating networking opportunities for students, alumni, and faculty with industry leaders.

Terms of Reference
The committee shall:
- Develop and implement a partnership strategy to enhance institutional collaborations.
- Engage with government agencies and policymakers to advocate for entrepreneurship-friendly policies.
- Represent EIES in fora, conferences, and stakeholder meetings to strengthen its influence and reach.
- Identify funding opportunities and coordinate fundraising initiatives.
- Establish Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with strategic partners.
- Advise the EIES leadership on matters related to partnerships, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate partnerships to ensure alignment with institutional goals.
Accountability and Reporting
The committee shall operate under the guidance of the EIES Governing Council and ensure transparency, integrity, and alignment with the core values of the Anglican Communion.

TRAIN THE TRAINERS
Teachers are great sources of ideas for learning activities that provide experience in entrepreneurial skill and often they might not even know they are doing so. Any teacher in the primary and secondary schools can help students understand the opportunities of our entrepreneurial economy by infusing entrepreneurship-related activities in their regular course of study. Such experiences may change the vision of their future for many of our youth being one of the EIES’s objectives and goals.
This program is phenomenally a multi-dimensional programme through which teachers are engaged and trained, school administrators and graduates to equip the young public from primary to secondary schools with leadership and life skills, employability and entrepreneurship skills.
TRANSFORMATION LEADERSHIP
This module of Program also identifies three essential modalities for developing leadership potentials: instruction, model and practice. It is a major component that drives the society, starting from leading from home to the society. It emphasizes that the opportunity for reflection portends the chance for scholars to engage their minds to solve real problems of the society. Instruction includes efforts in and out of the classroom to teach and share leadership skills and mindsets. Model refers to the opportunity to expose Scholars to role models and transformative leaders, both personally and indirectly by learning about famous and lesser known leaders in Africa and globally. Practice is the process where Scholars actively engage in activities that require and enable them to exercise their leadership skills and mindsets.”
EIES STEM DEV.
This module of program would adopt the STEAM educational approach that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics. The STEAM education approach ensures maximum assimilation, Hands-on experience and breaking boredom and loss of attention during learning. It is designed to teach interdisciplinary STEAM skills in a unique way focusing on:
- Simpler and fun way to introduce programming skills.
- Improved ability to create & Innovate.
- Preparing kids early for economic emancipation.
- Builds team spirit to solve real life problems.
- Bringing Arts back.
AGRIC-PRENUERSHIP: A path to the future.
This three-part course provides information on the various pathways available to young professionals to strengthen the agricultural economy and provide employment opportunity within their communities. From the benefit of food security and how agripreneurs can make a positive impact on society, to a look at the agricultural value chain and how the use of technology and marketing increases the opportunities available for agripreneurs, to the tools needed to invest and partner with agricultural producers to create a successful enterprises.
