Chairman of Governing Council’s Statement
a letter from our director
I’m delighted to welcome each and every one of you to our EIES website.
May I, on behalf of our Bishop and the entire Diocese of Enugu, extend my profound gratitude to the members of the Governing Council and thank you for accepting to be part of this initiative. You would have observed that the membership of the Institute has been carefully structured to represent the constituencies that make up the key enablers of the Diocese.
The primary philosophy behind this innovation is to ensure that ownership of the Institute is properly embedded in the ethos of the Diocese. Accordingly, our ultimate desire is to make Enugu Diocese an entrepreneurial Diocese. It is equally pertinent to note that you were all chosen because of the unique values you will bring to bear on the activities of our Institute. Arising from our updated Operational & Framework documents, a number of ad-hoc committees had been set up to further drive the vision of the Institute.
Once more, accept my appreciation for being part of the Bishop’s mandate for Revival in all our endeavors in the Diocese.
Yours in the service of God and Humanity
Our Operational Framework
At EIES, we follow a service-oriented and modular delivery mechanism founded on Peter Drucker’s triangle of innovation, resources, and entrepreneurial behavior

Community Sensitization & Recruitment
This foundational stage involves targeted outreach to raise awareness about the institute’s mission, programs, and opportunities. Through church announcements, media campaigns, and community meetings, EIES mobilizes interest and recruits passionate individuals who are ready to embrace entrepreneurship, acquire new skills, and transform their lives.

Counselling & Career Guidance
Before formal training begins, participants receive personalized counselling to identify their strengths, aspirations, and ideal career pathways. This process ensures that each individual is placed on the most suitable track—whether entrepreneurial, vocational, or employment-focused—thereby maximizing personal growth and program impact.

Core Training in Entrepreneurship & Leadership
Participants undergo intensive instruction in business development, innovation, leadership, and life skills. The training is structured around practical modules that teach how to develop viable business models, lead ethically, and navigate the complexities of the modern economy with confidence and competence.

Vocational or Employability Track
Depending on their goals, trainees either enroll in hands-on vocational skill programs or follow the employability path that prepares them for immediate entry into the service sector. Both tracks are designed to provide market-relevant skills that enhance income potential and economic resilience.

Mentorship, Start-up Support & Certification
Graduates receive continued guidance through mentorship and technical assistance, with select individuals gaining access to start-up capital and business development support. Upon completion of their training, participants are awarded industry-recognized certificates that validate their competencies and increase their opportunities in the job market or business sector. This flexible structure ensures that every participant can find a suitable pathway to success whether as an entrepreneur, skilled worker, or employed professional.
